Christian Education

Christian discipleship involves continual learning at every stage of life, from infancy through each step of our adult lives.  Our youth programs meet these needs through Sunday School, Pioneer Club, Lutheran Church Youth, Confirmation, Vacation Bible School, to name just a few.   Christian education and faith development are important aspects of our adult lives.  Such involvement deepens our relationship with God through the careful use of Scripture and prayerful, caring conversations with fellow believers.   In addition to our regular studies, be on the lookout for special courses offered from time to time, such as The Lutheran Course and Making Sense of Scripture.

Adult Sunday School - Bible Study: Join with fellow members of St. Peter's every Sunday at 9:30 for a intensive walk through the Bible.  This excellent Bible study is facilitated by Dan Ihasz and meets in the conference room.  This group is not meeting during the summer.

 

Adult Sunday School - FaithWeaver: Come and share  a cup of coffee and some relaxed conversation each Sunday at 9:30.  This study, geared especially for younger adults and parents of Sunday school children, explores the Scripture readings assigned each week in worship.  Come and discover the Bible - what it means, why it matters, and how it related to everyday life.  The class meets in the Media Room.  This group is not meeting during the summer.

 

Dynamic Marriage: At least once a year, Paula and Todd Johnson lead this eight week class designed to enhance your marriage.  Dynamic Marriage is an interactive, Bible-based marriage enrichment course.  Give us eight weeks, we'll give you a dynamic marriage!  No class is currently scheduled.  Contact Paula Johnson for more information.

 

Good News @ Noon: This lectionary-based Bible study meets each Tuesday at noon.  Pastor Dave leads open conversation as we open God's Word together in preparation for Sunday morning.  This study meets in the conference room.

 

Men's Morning Bible Study: All men are welcome for a devotional study that meets every Tuesday morning at 7:15 in the Fellowship Hall.

 

Wednesday Adult Bible Study: Pastor Dave leads adult Bible studies on various books of the Bible.  Look for new course offerings in the fall!  The first offering this fall is an eight-week study of the Gospel of Mark, beginning September 14th, from 5:30 to 7:00.

 

WELCA Women's Bible Study: A Bible study for all women that meets the first Monday of each month.  Join your sisters in Christ at 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall.  Due to the Labor Day holiday, the group will meet on the second Monday in September.
