Pastor Dave Lyle has been serving St. Peter's since 2008. Originally from Appleton, WI, Dave holds degrees from The College of William & Mary and Luther Seminary. As a recipient of the Graduate Preaching Fellowship, Dave studied homiletics at The Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts at The University of St. Andrews, Scotland. Prior to coming to Pawleys Island, Dave served as pastor at First English Lutheran Church, Appleton, WI for five years.
Dave is passionate about proclaiming Christ and his kingdom, already lurking and working in the lives of believers. Before ordination, he spent four summers as a counselor for Crossways Camping Ministries and five summers doing youth ministry in a congregational setting. Dave lives in Murrells Inlet with his wife, Erika, their daughter, Greta, and their son, Anders. Dave is a lifelong and often-disappointed fan of the Kansas City Royals. |
